My assumption is that Harmony and vampires still have to take in air to talk.
Makes as much sense as anything, I suppose. All of the evidence one way or another pretty much contradicts itself.
I'm thinking that no one's getting it cause it's sort of a fluffy fic.
Well, it's better to be subtle than to hit people over the head with the foreshadowing. Even if no one notices it, it's there, gently and subtly making the fic even better in invisible ways. It has layers, like an onion.
Second, Fred's fortune. While it applies to their sexual teasing, it also applies to Fred's change in the next episode... She undergoes massive changes in her bed and emerges as Illyria.
Wow, yeah. That's a good one.
Now see...I didn't even think of that! :o) *nods* You've got a better memory for Angel season five than I do, and you give me more credit than is due, I think. *Ooo...an excuse to watch my DVDs again!*
Well, even if one doesn't remember the Eve scene at the beginning (although ST's character never really lived up to the mythic archetypes associated with her name--they'd have been better off calling her Sue), the apple/pomegranete/fruit is still a corruptive (or redemptive, depending on your POV) symbol appropriate for W&H. So reading the Hyperion as a return (or the abortive attempt at a return) to a pre-Fall state isn't all that much of a stretch, IMHO. Don't sell yourself short.
(It's also a good way to let Wes/Fred have sex without invalidating the "I finally get you in my bedroom" line in canon.)
I still have to buy my season 5 DVD's. And my season 4 DVD's. I'll get around to it eventually, I suppose.

Thanks again for the fic!
